Walking Tours & Group Trips Testimonials
"Every year my class has thoroughly enjoyed our walk through history in Annapolis thanks to Watermark. The guides are always exceptional, as was Mistress Kim this year. My students learned a lot of interesting things and had a wonderful time. We wrote letters to Mistress Kim which I will be mailing soon. They will address all the things they found most interesting! Mistress Kim does a fantastic job of holding the students' attention! Thank you so much for a very successful, fun, and educational field trip!! Watermark does an amazing job of making history fun, interesting, and
appealing to all ages. Our parents on the trip enjoying the day as much or
more than the children did!!"
-First Baptist School of Laurel
"The Naval Academy was great! John Paul Jones's crypt was a highlight for my students. I so enjoyed Squire Frederick's presentation; walking with him anywhere is worth a million bucks, he is so knowledgable and entertaining! We will be back EVERY YEAR! I received tons of compliments from parents who joined us, and many had never even been to the State House or the USNA, and they live right here in Shady Side!
The best field trip, hands down, in my 20 years of teaching! How early should we book for next year??? Keep up the outstanding work you are doing! Who wouldn't love Annapolis after a walking tour with you???"

"I want to thank you for the great field trip! Please pass on to our tour guides that we thought they were wonderful and the students had a fabulous time. Everything went smoothly, the guides added great information to our learning and the rain held off. Thanks again for all your help with the trip!"
"Pat T. was excellent! She shared a lot of information while keeping the students and parents alike thoroughly engaged throughout the tour. Her humor, poise and storytelling is compelling!"

“My class has been coming to Annapolis for many years. We have never been disappointed by our visit, including the cruise.”
-St. Paul's Lutheran School
“The tour that Watermark helped me plan was a huge success. Not only did we get to learn more about the beautiful city and history of Baltimore, we also got to ride in style on one of Watermark's pristine boats. Overall we give our tour two thumbs up!”
–University of Maryland Eastern Shore
“We are very happy with the tour. It follows our Social Studies for Maryland. We like it so much that we continue coming every year. The services are very professional and very eager to help. Please continue what you do.”
-Dayton Oaks Elementary
“The walking tour was excellent. The tour guides did a wonderful job telling about colonial Annapolis. They kept the students interested with the many stories and items that they shared with them. The students came back with a wealth of knowledge about the colonial capital.”
-Ebb Valley Elementary
"My experience was fantastic. Squire Frederick was an amazing tour guide, filled with all kinds of interesting knowledge which I found fascinating and most enjoyable. He was terrific with the students and praised their knowledge – a very encouraging individual and a true gentleman who I enjoyed getting to know. He was never cross with the students and only had the kindest things to say to them.
As to the pirate women – they were utterly fantastic as well. I cannot say enough about their energy, their spirit, those wonderful pirate accents, and their stunning theatrics. They had us singing sea shanties that brought back memories of my camp experiences. Kim and Sara were the perfect blend of mischievous pirate and caring individuals. I loved their jokes!! My favorite was perhaps the one where they announced that the teachers were mailed a video to help lead in singing a song and I was to come up and lead them in that song. After I said I didn't receive "that memo", they matter-of-factly stated, "You know, we hear that a lot." I don't think Johnny Depp has anything on them. I can't imagine a better pirate experience!
...I know now that I want to bring next year's students back again. I would also like to add that I was most impressed that one of your office reps came out to meet us at the Marina as we were pulling in to help facilitate the flow of traffic, and she even stuck around to ensure we had the bathroom combination...Everyone I dealt with is most deserving of the highest praise."

Thank you and your company for a wonderful field trip and learning experience over the many years that my class visited you! I have changed grade levels and no longer am teaching 4th grade, where we study Maryland. I am sad to not be returning in the spring with you! I hope to bring my family to one of your tours over the summer! Again, thanks for all of the wonderful learning experiences and memories over the years!
-Sabillasville Elementary School
The students thoroughly enjoyed "The Challenge of the Pirate Quest!: Kudos to Pirate Mary and the Pirate Captain for keeping the students interest for two hours! Not once did I hear anyone say "I'm bored," which is a common complaint among 4th graders whenever they are pulled away from video games. The parent chaperones were impressed also!
